Ravenwood Castle: Megan & Rich

I met this amazing couple in January and was so excited to hear about their plans to have a modern medieval themed wedding in a castle! It sounded like so much fun! They had been to Ravenwood Castle, a bed & breakfast in Plymouth, OH close to Hocking Hills State Park, before together and fell in love with the place. For their wedding, they rented out the entire castle for the weekend. This gave them time to setup for the wedding and allowed for family & friends to stay on the property in one of the little cabins or in the main building.

The wedding day was gorgeous... sunny and very warm! After capturing all the getting ready pictures, Megan did a first look with her dad in her room and then with Rich near the maze garden while some of their friends and family looked on. Then we walked around the castle grounds and inside the Great Hall taking pictures of the couple. The wedding ceremony was held in the Woodland area of the property and officiated by a friend of the couple. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple walked into the adjacent meadow to have a few minutes alone together (we took pictures of them from a distance). When they were ready, we took their requested pictures with family, friends, and the wedding party. 

Once everyone was seated in the Great Hall they did their grand entrance, prayer, and dinner. After dinner, toasts and the cake cutting were done downstairs in the Pub followed by the first dance and parent dances outside on the patio. The timing was perfect - the sunset was going on and it was AMAZING! Once it was dark, we got a few night images of the couple with the castle as well as some cool images of Rich and his friends enjoying a cigar.

The day really was like a fairytale. The detail of the grooms attire (complete with sword!), the beautiful bride, the venue itself, and the wedding party, parents, and many of the guests in medieval attire. One could clearly see the love this couple has for one another. I truly wish them the best in their life together. Here are a just a few of the many images they will receive!
