Rachel & Ian: Ravenwood Castle

It was a gorgeous fall day for this wonderful couple's wedding at the amazing Ravenwood Castle! I met the couple at the venue and we started with a few getting ready pictures. An emotional first look followed in the back of the castle by the hedge maze. This was followed by pictures with the wedding party (which including the brief appearance of a dragon)! Portraits of the couple began at the chess set where they started a game but, unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for them to complete it.

The ceremony took place in front of the castle. It was a beautiful pagan handfasting ceremony and the majority of the guests came dressed in medieval garb for the occasion. Family pictures took place immediately following the ceremony.

The bride changed into a new outfit prior to their grand entrance into the reception. Toasts followed and then a delicious dinner was served. After dinner the couple did the shoe game and cut one of several cakes available. The dancing was held outside on the back patio. Rachel & Ian did a wonderful choreographed dance. This was followed by the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance which led right into everyone dancing!

Congratulations Ian & Rachel! Thank you for choosing me to photograph your amazing wedding! I wish both of you all the best in your lives together! Here are just a few of the images they will receive.
